Feminism: The social, political and economic equality of the sexes.
We need feminism because men’s football teams are the ones who get the most recognition whereas women’s football teams aren’t seen to be that successful or appreciated in events like the World Cup.
We need feminism because women are still earning 9.4% less than men for doing the same jobs in the workplace.
We need feminism because male teachers are automatically referred to as ‘sir,’ whereas female members of staff are given ‘miss,’ a word which connotes women as weak, passive, and is used as a prefix for words such as ‘misunderstood’ and a suffix for ‘dismiss.’
We need feminism because high school girls are forced to play netball whereas boys are automatically given football because they are the more stereotypical sport for their gender.
We need feminism because women are still rejected from job applications, simply because they are women.
We need feminism because occupations which involve strenuous activity are still viewed as stereotypically male jobs, as if a female is not capable of fulfilling the role in the same way
We need feminism because women’s nipples are seen as offensive and are often censored, whereas men’s nipples are never censored or even seen as an issue.
We need feminism because male musicians are praised for going shirtless for performances yet female musicians are slut shamed and torn apart for wearing revealing clothing.
We need feminism because men in politics are still deciding what a woman can and cannot do with her own body in terms of abortions and planned parenthood when it should only be the woman making choices regarding her own health.
We need feminism because science is still seen as a male area.
We need feminism because make-up is viewed as a thing that is exclusive to females and boys are frowned upon when they wear it.
We need feminism because women still have to deal with demeaning catcalling on a daily basis and men seem to view it as acceptable.
We need feminism because body hair on men is acceptable whereas body hair on women is frowned upon and viewed as 'unhygenic' and 'gross.'
We need feminism because, in countries like China, babies are killed when they are born female as boys are viewed as the more valuable sex.
We need feminism because a countless number of women are raped each year and many perpetrators feel no remorse for their actions and are not prosecuted.
We need feminism because, in abusive relationships, women are asked "Why didn't you just leave?" as opposed to the man being asked "Why did you hit her?"
We need feminism because sexual harassment is real and nearly half of women in the EU have admitted to being sexually harassed in the workplace.
We need feminism because women are often still the 'stay at home' parent whilst the man acts as the breadwinner.
We need feminism because we are living in a WHITE MAN'S WORLD where, despite the fact that women are rising up the power ladder,the majority of successful CEOs in Fortune 500 companies are male and white.
We need feminism because forced prostitution is happening everywhere. Over 20 million women, men and children are sold into the sex trade each year without their consent. 98% of sex slaves are female, and at least a tenth of them are children.
We need feminism because some men still believe a woman’s place is the home and that they ought to aspire to be child bearers and housewives.
We need feminism because some women still believe all men should be strong, tough and protective over them.
We need feminism because some women still believe it is a man's responsibility to pay for dinners and dates.
We need feminism because men are still expected to fit into a 'mould' of society's stereotypical idea of masculinity and so feminine boys are automatically labelled as 'gay.'
We need feminism because gay men are often bullied by heterosexual men whereas straight men often enjoy the idea of women being lesbians and find the idea of two women together 'hot' and 'attractive.'
We need feminism because...well, just read the Daily Mail and compare the ways in which men and women are presented and you'll see why.
We need feminism because suicide is the biggest killer in men under forty due to them being too afraid to speak out, because being emotional isn’t a characteristic that is viewed as ‘masculine.’
We need feminism because women are still often required to wear heels for work, against their will.
We need feminism because some women still believe all men should be strong, tough and protective over them.

We need feminism because some people still believe a woman cannot be interested in make-up, clothes and shoes and politics, sports and current affairs simultaneously when, actually, it is.

We need feminism because women still feel the need to apologise for voicing their opinions.
We need feminism because young girls are more bothered about being slim than they are about being healthy.
We need feminism because men are judged when they label themselves as a 'feminist.
We need feminism because women should not be told that they have 'no sense of humour' when they confront men who make degrading comments about them.
We need feminism because the term 'girl' is used as an insult.
We need feminism because some girls' parents still believe a woman's main goal in life should be to get married and have children.
We need feminism because it should not be viewed as 'rare' or 'heroic' for men to advocate for women's rights, it ought to be expected and as common as breathing.
We need feminism because women should feel able to be just as interested in politics as they are in shoes and make-up, because that is acceptable.
We need feminism because women who have been raped are victim blamed and are immediately asked questions such as “Were you drunk?” and “What were you wearing?” when others learn of their attack.
We need feminism because women’s bodies are still very much under a microscope and picked apart every day, in both the media and real life.
We need feminism because women have been fired from their jobs purely based on their appearance.
We need feminism because women still feel unsafe when walking around outside at night alone and often feel the need to carry weapons in order to protect themselves.
We need feminism because women who have been raped are victim blamed and are immediately asked questions such as “Were you drunk?” and “What were you wearing?” when others learn of their attack.
We need feminism because women’s bodies are still very much under a microscope and picked apart every day, in both the media and real life.
We need feminism because women have been fired from their jobs purely based on their appearance.
We need feminism because women still feel unsafe when walking around outside at night alone and often feel the need to carry weapons in order to protect themselves.
We need feminism because the word 'feminism' itself is still largely viewed as a 'dirty' word and the movement is considered a 'taboo subject' when, actually, it's playing a vital part in shaping all of our futures.
We need feminism because our society is patriarchal as hell and women are being treated as subservient.
