My Current Top 10 Beauty Products | FEBRUARY 2017

It's time to share my current favourite ten make-up products with yo lovely faces. This list is a collection of products that I either bought mid 2016 or was gifted for Christmas, (bar one which was a more recent purchase) therefore, I've had more than enough time to try them out and decide whether or not they're any decent. Thankfully, I loved each one of them and they weren't a waste of money *phew!*
So, let's just get into the make-up bit, shall we?

MAC Warm Neutrals Palette
This was a 17th birthday present and it's definitely my kind of palette. I reach for this often as I know it'll help me create a look that'll complement my skin tone, will blend easily and last all day, as well as coming off with the swipe of a make-up wipe when I get home from wherever I've been. I'm much more a fan of warmer toned eyeshadows, hence why this palette has become one of my make-up collection favourites. It's pricey at just under £50 but, with 15 high quality shadows, it's totally worth it. These won't run out any time soon and can be used to create such a variety of looks, whether you want something deep brown and smoky or pink and pretty. My most used shades are Saddle, which is great to just warm up the crease, the gorgeous Amber Lights, Honey Lust and Warm Breeze.

Rimmel The Only 1 Matte Lipstick in 'Salute'
These matte Rimmel lipsticks are a recent release, which many makeup devotees seem to have fallen head over heels for. I'm often sceptical about matte lipsticks being drying, however, these are far from it. They leave a matte finish yet apply so smoothly and feel creamy on the lips. This colour in particular, Salute, *insert Little Mix song here,* is the perfect pink. It's fab for every day wear for when you aren't sure what to wear as it matches every eye look and lasts all day. Even when it does start to fade, you're left with a 'your lips but better' tint. Would highly recommend, especially as the price is so affordable!

L'Oréal Telescopic Mascara

This is the more recent addition to my make-up collection and there was no doubt in my mind that I'd love it, as L'Oréal mascaras and I always get along well. I'm always a fan of their brushes and how amazing they make my lashes look and this one works just as well. The brush is unique, it's nothing fancy, quite thin but flexible which means it really gets inside the corners of your eyes and coats each individual lash. Brushes like this are also great on bottom lashes as they aren't too bushy and don't clump up the product. With two coats of this, I'm good to go for the for the day and don't have to worry about my eye makeup.

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lip Liner in 'Velvet Beige'
I've been wearing lip liners pretty much every day recently and have found they really make a difference. I line and fill my lips in with them prior to applying lipstick and they assist my lipsticks in lasting all day then, when they do wear off, I'm still left with a slight colour underneath. Maybelline in particular do great, soft liners in neutral shades, such as this one in Velvet Beige. You can never have too many nude lip liners, as a wise philosopher once said (probably).

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
Okay, you need this. It's brilliant. It's one of those products that, before you bought it, you didn't think you needed it but, once you have it, you aren't sure how you ever lived without it. It's basically hairspray for your face, which doesn't make it sound appealing in the slightest, but trust me on this one. I spray it all over my face after applying my base and it locks the lot of it in and ensures it'll last my all day. It's perfect for if you're going to have a long day, such as a full day at school or college, as you won't be paranoid all day that your foundation is sliding down your neck.

Collection Matte Bronzer

I don't care all that much when it comes to being a bronzed Goddess or completely chiseled with perfectly contoured cheeks, however, I am partial to a bit of bronzer every day. Like I say, because I'm not that fussed, I cannot quite bring myself to spend a ridiculous sum of money on a bronzer, which is why I picked up this Collection one last year, (a Drugstore brand famous for their low prices and high quality) and have been using it ever since. I simply sweep it around the perimeter of my face, into the hollows of my cheeks and along my jawline in order to make myself appear slightly more healthy and glowing, additionally, I take it down my neck to ensure I'm the same colour all over. It's matte, which is a bonus as the majority of bronzers have some sort of shimmer in nowadays, and isn't too harsh, meaning I can build up the intensity of it until I'm happy. Another thing I enjoy doing with bronzer is using it as eyeshadow when I just want something quick and simple. Blend it through your crease and you're good to go in no time at all.

Too Faced Sweetheart Blush in 'Something About Berry'
Too faced are one of my favourite make-up brands. They may not be the cheapest, but I definitely don't mind paying for their products as I know they're of a good quality and won't fail me. The packaging of each item they produce is beautiful too and the casing of this blush is enough to make anyone want to smear the entire thing over their face. This is a popular product, and rightly so, as it gives my cheeks a slight shimmer and a pink glow to make sure I look healthy and awake. It lasts pretty much all day and doesn't come out too intensely on your brush. It really is a gorgeous product and something I would repurchase.

Make-Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation Stick
I've always found the whole concept of a stick foundation intriguing and this one by Make-Up Forever has been hyped up for a while online so, when the shade of my current foundation was out of stock, I just bit the bullet and picked up this bad boy. It isn't a decision I regret, though, as it is one of the best foundations I have ever used. I was sceptical of a stick foundation being difficult to blend but this one blends like a dream with both a brush and a beauty blender. It's on the pricier side of foundations but is extremely high coverage (something I prefer in foundations in order to cover my acne and scaring) and I like the fact that you can actually see when you're about to run out of a stick foundation, unlike the bottled ones. I have found this foundation to become oily faster than liquid foundations, even with a setting spray, although perhaps that's just something to do with my technique of applying it but I'm sure, once I've used it more. I'll know how is best to use it for my skin. If you want a foundation to cover spots and blemishes, definitely check this one out. It is also available in liquid form is stick foundations aren't your cup of tea.

Urban Decay Naked Illuminated
Isn't this just beautiful? I use this shimmering powder as a highlighter on the tops of my cheek bones, down my nose, on my brow bone and cupids bow, just to add an extra glisten to the high points of my face when they catch the light. It can be dusted on lightly for a subtle highlight or can be built up for a more intense, disco ball type finish. This convex silky smooth powder is versatile too as it can be used on the eyes to add a shimmer on top of matte eyeshadows.

KIKO Matte Fusion Pressed Powder
Last but never least we have a KIKO powder. I picked this up in Paris in 2015 and soon discovered that it's slightly too dark for my natural skin tone, meaning I can still use it all over my face as a regular setting powder, but I have to dust it on lightly and blend it in slightly unless I want to risk looking like an orange. One thing I have been using this for instead, though, is as an eyeshadow base. I apply this underneath any shadows, all over my lid up to my brow bone, and it just evens out my skin tone and preps my eyes for any products that I'm about to apply on top. It even works fine on its own all over the lid if I'm going for a more natural look.

What make-up products are you loving at the moment? <3

Love, Emily :) xx
