10 Things You Should Try To Do Every Day


We all live such busy lives these days that it can be easy to forget the little things. We get so caught up in all of the running around we have to do, all the stresses, the celebrations, the travelling, that we often don't even think to do the little yet vital things.
Here are ten things which I recommend you try to do each day as I believe they will make every day a happier one, even if it wasn't a positive day overall, carrying out these simple acts can help make things a lot easier. Plus, I think they're important...
  1. Have a good laugh. They say a day without laughter is a day wasted and I don't want you to get to the evening time without laughing at all. Laughter is essential for the mind and soul.
  2. Give somebody a hug. Not only will this benefit you, but it will also put a smile on somebody else's face, and who doesn't want that? Hugs are not just there for special occasions.
  3. Tell somebody you love them. Yes, so simple but have you ever realised that you may have carried out a day without telling somebody that you love them? Even if you spend all day alone, just drop someone a text to tell them you love them. It takes a second but the sentiment lasts a lifetime.
  4. Ask someone how they are. I know it makes my day whenever somebody takes two seconds out of their day to even think about how I'm doing so make time to ask someone how they are, whether that is in person or even via text message. You might learn something.
  5. Try something new. This is a vague imperative and so could mean trying anything that you haven't already. It doesn't have to be something drastic, it could just mean trying a new food, trying to wear a different piece of clothing, listening to a new style of music, using new words...
  6. Be alone. This is something I find to be essential for me. We all need our alone time and I think, even just five minutes of being on your own, every day can really make a difference. It gives you time to think, time to stop and breathe. We can't be surrounded by people all the time.
  7. Take a photo. Many of us may only take photos on special occasions, but try to take at least one each day as there is always something around worth capturing, you just need to look.
  8. Stretch. Not just when you wake up, just throughout the day. Take a few deep breaths and stretch our your body. It will make you feel better,
  9. Eat three meals. You only get one body, so please take care of it. No matter how busy you are, always try to fit breakfast, lunch and dinner into your day. You can only give your everything if your body is in good condition.
  10. Think about the future. You don't have to go into full on deep-thinking, meditation mode, simply take a minute to contemplate where you are and where you want to be, whether that be with your career, mentally, physically, whatever. Take a moment out of each day to think about where you hope to be to give yourself motivation.
