Mulberry Fall 2016 // LFW

More than two years have passed since Mulberry last showcased a Collection on the runway, so its no surprise than anticipation was high for their Fall 2016 show, but new Creative Director Johnny Coca delivered, then he delivered, then he delivered some more.

This Collection, despite being classic Mulberry with its traditionally cut coats, stylish handbags (which ranged from the size of a suitcase suitable for a two week holiday to the size of a key chain) and deep colours, had a slight edge to it, which showed through the reoccurring orange floral prints and bright yellow pieces. Don't let that put you off though, because you still know this is a Mulberry Collection and you definitely know its an Autumn one at that, although the bright pieces seem to be suitable for the warmer weather also. My favourite colour featured in the show has got to be the burgundy which we all associate with Autumn whenever we see it and its certainly a colour for the cold. Of course, there was some khaki and royal blue in there, which have been reoccurring colours in most LFW shows.
Finally, I loved the military edge to the coats in the form of their buttons and the quirkiness of this collection. It was great to see some expected pieces in there but I also liked being surprised by some of the layering and prints.

Have a look at the outfits which I loved below!

Which Mulberry items did you like? <3

Love, Emily :) xx
