Christmas Tree Decorating!

Ahh, if only it was socially acceptable to have Christmas decorations up every day of the year....oh well, until it is, we shall just have to look forward to that day in December when we get our dusty decorations down from our attics and let Christmas vomit all over our homes!
I recently helped my Granny decorate her Christmas tree, (whilst wearing a Christmas jumper OF COURSE) and so thought I would share some photos with you!

I love my Granny and Grandad's Christmas decorations. Every bauble is different and some decorations are even handmade. They have put them up for years, the only new thing they bought this year were hooks to hang the decorations on the tree with! I love that though. Some people love to take care when decorating their tree. They like to be left alone for a good three hours whilst they measure precisely where each strategically selected bauble is going to go so everything looks perfect. My family, however, aren't about that life! We have kept the same, tacky decorations for years and keep pledging to buy new ones but can never manage to tear ourselves away from the worn out baubles and manky tinsel that we use every year. Not that there is anything wrong with a colour co-ordinated Christmas tree. A Christmas tree is a Christmas tree! However, there is always something special, I find, about fixing the wonky holly leaves on my Christmas pudding which I made from a polystyrene ball in nursey and which sits under our Christmas tree every year.

This is going to be my last post before Christmas this year, so, I would like to wish you all the merriest of Christmases and say that I pray for your Christmas Days to be happy, healthy and bursting with love and FOOD! No matter how you spend your Christmas, I hope it is spent doing things that make you and those around you smile. Stay safe and take care. All the festive *SQUEEZES!!* :)

Oh and, by the way, I have left some festive jokes at the bottom of this blog post for you to enjoy! They might make you laugh until your sides hurt, if your sense of humour is ridiculous as mine, and might come in useful to just pull out around the table at Christmas to impress your family. ;)

WHY DOESN'T SANTA LIKE GOING DOWN THE CHIMNEY?
Because he gets CLAUStrophobic!

WHAT DID ADAM SAY THE DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS?
It's Christmas Eve.

WHAT SAYS OH OH OH?
Santa walking backwards.

WHY ARE CHRISTMAS TREES SO BAD AT KNITTING?
Because they always drop their needles.

WHAT'S THE BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT?
A broken drum - you just can't beat it!

HOW DOES GOOD KING WENCESLAS LIKE HIS PIZZAS?
Deep pan, crisp and even.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MAN WHO STOLE THE ADVENT CALENDAR?
He got 25 days.

WHY DID NO ONE BID FOR RUDOLPH AND BLITZEN ON EBAY?
Because they were two deer.

(you're welcome ;) )

How will you be spending your Christmas? <3

Love, Emily :) xx
